With decades of teaching experience (over 25 years), Sancha’s had the privilege of coaching hundreds of singers—from aspiring artists to seasoned professionals—many of whom have graced stages on The Voice, X Factor, and Australia’s Got Talent. Her students have also gone on to release original music, tour internationally, and win prestigious awards like the Golden Guitars.

 

For many years, Sancha was an Accredited Teacher of Speech Level Singing, a methodology founded by Seth Riggs, renowned for coaching legends like Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand. As a result of her time with SLS, she was trained by arguably some of the best voice teachers in the world including Dave Stroud (Kelly Clarkson, Martina McBride, Adam Lambert, Justin Bieber) Greg Enriquez (Solange Knowles, Tommy Hilfiger Britney Spears...Baby One more time tour, Creation du Dragon (Celine Dion), to Mystere & Zumanity (Cirque de Soleil) Wendy Parr (Sara Bareilles, Regina Spektor & A Great Big World) Dean Kaelin (David Archuleta) John Henny (Britney Spears, Cody Simpson, Colbie Caillat) as well as Jeffrey Skouson, Spencer Welch & Kathy Kennedy.

 

As a teacher, her expertise lies in being able to quickly diagnose a student’s vocal tendency and give specific exercises to enable them to sing smoothly through their entire range. That is, to sing with a consistent tone from their chest voice, though their vocal bridges to their head voice. This is quite a unique approach to singing teaching and delivers incredible results. But above all, Sancha is an encouraging teacher who is passionate in helping students find vocal freedom (and confidence in the process).

 

Sancha has been a guest lecturer and tutor in Vocal Studies at Macquarie University, she has taught in prestigious private school in Sydney (MLC School & St Ignatius College, Riverview) has presented countless vocal master classes in vocal technique. Most recently, Sancha was an Accredited Teacher with IVTOM (International Voice Teachers of Mix) mentoring other vocal coaches as they refined their teaching skills.

 

Sancha has also worked as a professional singer herself for over 30 years. She’s sung on cruise ships, performed on live TV, recorded jingles for radio ads and backing vocal recording sessions for countless artists. Regularly booked as a soloist for prominent corporate events, she was lead vocalist for jazz/swing big bands performing at live venues and festivals around Sydney. Her love of gospel music took her to the USA in her 20’s where she toured with her first independent release. Before the pandemic hit, Sancha had been regularly performing around the country with her acoustic quartet at prominent live venues, folk & jazz clubs as well as house concerts & festivals.

 

She is also an established visual artist & certified wellness coach. A true creative at heart, Sancha’s practise is continually evolving and she is now realising her vision of combining all three passions ~ music, art & wellness~ to uplift and inspire others through one on one coaching, group workshops and events.
