I’ve been teaching drums since the 90’s, back when hardly anyone had a mobile phone or the internet! I even used cassettes to teach my students to play songs! Technology has changed a lot since then and so has my approach to teaching.

Learning a new skill is a challenge but it’s so rewarding. 

I’d like to think that over the years I have developed EXTREME patience!!!

Together we’ll discover what your goals are and create a personalised course of study. 

Do you want to learn songs, improve your technique or work through grades? 

You decide and I’ll help you get there. Having fun is the only requirement!

 

 

QUITE A JOURNEY

I started taking drum lessons in 1992 and before long I had joined my first band.

I continued with drum lessons for the next decade under the guidance of my excellent teachers. 

Hundreds of lessons and thousands of hours of practice later, I started teaching my first drum students.

Fast forward more than 20 years and I have taught thousands of drummers, many of whom are now professional drummers and teachers in their own right.

As well as teaching, I have played in numerous bands, toured internationally and recorded with artists such as Human Nature, The McClymonts and Darlene Zschech.
